It's probably been a few years since the last "JFH News Short" collection of news bits, but hopefully you'll be seeing more of these soon! Here's the latest...

>> Matthew West To Release Into The Light EP April 10th
When Matthew West asked his fans in January of 2010 to tell him the stories of their lives, he didn’t expect to get 10,000 stories from all over the globe – or to write 40 songs. From that experience came the acclaimed album The Story of Your Life which has sold over 130,000 albums and had 2 Top 5 radio singles ("My Own Little World" & "Strong Enough"). Now some of those other songs, inspired by real peoples’ stories of struggle, heartbreak and first-hand experience of God’s redemption will be heard for the first time on Matthew’s new Into The Light EP. The EP features 6 all-new songs and an exclusive acoustic version of Matthew’s new radio single “Family Tree.” Continuing the journey of The Story of Your Life, Into the Light reminds us that each of our stories are intricately connected with God’s story. >> Manafest Returns With Fighter April 10th
Manafest comes back boldly with his fifth full-length album, Fighter. Fresh off his critically acclaimed 2010 release “The Chase,” Manafest has been touring extensively, including the Awake And Alive Tour with Skillet, Disciple, and We As Human, and he is back and ready for action. “The Chase” has sold 30,000 copies and continues to scan 600 per week nearly two years after release. Featuring hit radio singles “Every Time You Run” (currently #14 on Christian CHR radio chart and #31 on NCA radio chart), “Avalanche” (peaked at #6 on Christian CHR radio chart), “No Plan B” (peaked at #13 on Christian CHR radio chart, and “Bring The Ruckus” (peaked at #1 on Christian Rock radio chart), “The Chase” is Manafest’s biggest release to date. Produced by Seth Mosley (Newsboys, Me In Motion) and Adam Messenger (Justin Bieber, Chris Brown), Fighter picks up where “The Chase” left off. With a CHR Single going to adds late January and more music videos to follow, Manafest is sure to pick up even more speed in 2012. He is hitting the road with RED, and Thousand Foot Krutch in early 2012, right around the release. (from EMI CMG)

>> Anchor & Braille Sign To Tooth & Nail Records??
Stephen Christian of Anberlin released a side project a few years ago as Anchor & Braile, titled Felt, and although he's been hard at work as the frontman of Anberlin, there have been some stirrings in the camp of A&B recently. Just the other day, Stephen posted a picture of the Tooth & Nail logo on the Anchor & Braille instagram feed. When a fan asked if this means Anberlin is back on Tooth & Nail as well, Stephen simply replied "No." If Anchor & Braille indeed has signed to Tooth & Nail, you can bet there will be an official announcement soon!

>> Justin McRoberts To Release Y EP Next Week
This week, Justin McRoberts gave an update on the final EP in his CMY(K) project: "[On February 8th], I will be releasing "Y," the third EP of the CMY(K) series. Just as with the first two EP's "C" and "M," you will find "Y" at my web store. Also as with the first two EP's, the songs that make up "Y" are mostly written for very specific people in my life. I've written letters to these friends which will continue to appear at the blog. Along with news of the release will be news regarding the next phase of the CMY(K) project. I'm very excited to tell you what we've got planned. Keep watch at Facebook or Twitter for further news regarding the release of Y."

>> Heath McNease Debuts New Song As Free Download

Check out his announcement: "Hey guys! I'm so stoked to be debuting my first track off my upcoming album, "Thrift Store Jesus." >> The Burial Sign With Facedown Records
The Burial have developed and grown as a band immensely since starting in 2005. After releases on Strike First Records and Sancrosant Records, they are now signed to Facedown Records for the release of their new album Lights and Perfections. Their third release is a dynamic, progressive metal album that is as powerful as it is convicting, both musically and lyrically. The four individuals that make up The Burial are masters of their craft and it shows. A follow up to 2010's The Winepress, Lights and Perfections was recorded at Random Awesome Studios (A Plea For Purging), and will be released March 27, 2012 on Facedown Records. "We are so grateful to be a part of the label and are stoked to hit the road with new material." - Todd Hatfield.
